Good day or evening,

I recently reprocessed an old (originally taken in March 2005) favorite; tweaked the values and colors, and re-cropped for a better composition. I think these changes did a fine job of allowing the curving edges of the white petals to function as leading lines that more clearly draw the eye to the intended COI (the ladybug and the yellow structure of the Cosmos flower).

This was the first photo of mine to win an award. And I'm very proud of the fact that for the 2 or 3 years when I submitted photos for the highly competitive Orange County Fair (where less than half of submitted photos were rejected) every photo that I submitted was accepted.

BTW, I posted a new photo in the WhatIzIt thread.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Absolutely gorgeous Dave! A winner anywhere! I judged for our State Fair for a few years. Tough competition! Would still be a winner without the ladybug but with it..... WOW!

That ladybug has a nice meal ahead. Nice work, Dave.

Here's a shot I took today. The car has been like this for a few years and nothing changes. I took a quick shot but don't know the story behind it.
It leaves a bit to the imagination.

Thanks Rich & MFI.

Hi Quint, and thank you.

Interesting photo: the car looks mostly undamaged, but I'm not sure about the fence and house.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

It appears a lack of maintenance to be the cause?
