Good day or evening.

Another recovered photo from decades ago. Looks like some sort of seed inside an irregularly-shaped pod.

It was the red of the "seed" that caught my eye, and that is nicely complemented by the greens of the background...

   

In today's World Cup games, it's France vs Spain. France seems to me to have been the most balanced team, but Spain is right up there with them.  I'll go with France by 1 goal.

Tomorrow features England vs Argentina, and I don't know what to make of either team. Argentina's dominance seems to have stalled, while England certainly hasn't played as well as their #4 world ranking suggests they should have. Could be another close game: can Messi rediscover his magic touch? Will England finally play as well as they are capable of? If forced to choose, I'd go with Argentina by 1 goal.

Spain outclassed France with a superb performance. 2-0.
Not sure what tree that tri-seeded pod came from.
The outer is similar to Hakea but they are two seeded with winged seeds that aren't red.

Yes, Spain clearly dominated the match.

What are your thoughts on the England vs Argentina match? And after that of the other remaining matches?

I know that Argentina won in the extra time. by 2-1. England will have to play France for the bronze.

These are soft due to low light but I like them as they have a painterly look. Styypandra glauca, a local native I grow in the garden.
