Another once lost photo recovered from decades-old CDs, taken 2006-02-18. It's a sunrise (or maybe sunset - I don't remember) over the wetlands, years before the city, various ecological experts, and associations dedicated to preserving the wetlands made the wise decision to reconnect the wetlands to the ocean water.

I was completely wrong on yesterday's World Cup matches; I had Brazil over Norway and Mexico over England. Both Brazil and Mexico lost. Good that don't do any betting on sports.

Today's games are 1) Portugal vs Spain and I think Spain will win; 2) USA vs Belgium and I think USA will win.

I still think France will win it all, probably in a high-scoring match (4-2 or 4-3) with Argentina.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Beautiful sunset Dave! Could have been taken in SD with all the open space. Excellent composition!

Here are some photos from our1st Friday on Main last week. Kids enjoyed the water fun.

Thank you, Rich.

We lived in San Diego for a few years before moving to HB.

The water being sprayed suggest it's been pretty hot in your area. And once again, your photos show us an admirably clean city that is proud to be a fine place to live.

Very nice red car.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave! I have been in San Diego a couple of times. Once for Navy Boot camp in 1961 and once on a bus tour in the early 2000's.
Yes, it has been hot with no relief in sight.
Thanks, we try to keep our city clean.

The car is a 1930 Ford Coupe. Well kept up. I talked to the owner once a few years ago. He said he drove it home from quite a distance after buying it. Slow trip but he made it fine. Notice the suicide doors. Also the gas filler cap on the passenger side back fender.

Think DJT should have stayed right out of the red card issue. That's the referee's job, not Trump's. It isn't going to improve FIFA's reputation and doesn't help the staus of the game. It is now in ill repute.

Didn't matter in the long run as Belgium got them 4-1

Sky was pretty this morning. From my backdoor, zoomed in a bit.

Both FIFA and DJT had long ago proven themselves as corrupt and both should have stayed out of the red card situation, which should have been immediately overturned on the pitch by VAR.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Agree.
There will be an inquiry for sure.

The politicians are asking the national football associations of the EU countries to spur the FIFA Ethics Committee to investigate Infantino and whether pressure from the Trump administration was a factor in lifting the suspension, as well as "other potential breaches of political neutrality", like awarding Trump the FIFA Peace Prize.

FIFA has said the lifting of the suspension was a decision of a disciplinary committee

The politicians said that 35 colleagues have signed the letter so far.

"The beauty of sport is that it is based on impartial and transparent rules. When Infantino allows political pressure to determine who gets to play, this sense of fairness goes out the window," they said.
