[Man From Ironbark]

Well it is Thursday here.
Just thought I'd poke my nose in.

Love it, MFI!

What an incredibly startling appearance. I suspect it evolved to have this menacing look to intimidate other creatures who might cause it harm.

I thought I recently posted this shot (taken in May of 2018) of a Cormorant (probably the Double-crested Cormorant), but can't find it in recent posts...

Same goes for this nice Day Lily taken last month...

Sorry if these turn out to be duplicate postings.

Both excellent shots and though my memory isn't want it used to be I don't recall seeing these.

As for scaring off predators, they have a look bigger trick. It is also why they are called bearded dragons.

Thanks MFI.

Amazing creature, well photographed.

Thanks Dave. They are only one of our amazing reptiles but they are plentiful where I live. I've even been able to show my granddaughters a hatching where I had seen her lay the eggs and counting the days my granddaughters happened to be there and I said, maybe I can show you something special . Amazingly it was perfect. They hatched out over a couple of days the girls got to hold baby dragons that had just dug themselves out of the nest.

They were about three inches long.

Thanks Dave and Peter for posting photos of Beauty and the Beast....Awesome!

Nice experience you gave your granddaughters, MFI.

Thanks Rich.
