The weekend is almost upon us. I am about to go out and mow the lawn for probably the last time this year. I was going to do that yesterday but I waited around too long and before I knew it the temp was in the 90's - right now it is 65 so a good time to get it done.

I have about posted all of the photos worth posting from our trip, and am now down to the "travel snapshots" that I sometimes take just to help remember the experience. However, the photo of the stairs on board the ship I like because of the symmetry and the B&W treatment looks nice (I think). The other is one of the many lighthouses we saw.

Love the photos, Don.

Don't denigrate them by saying they are merely "travel photos" - they are much more than that.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Indeed they are what Dave said.
They may have been taken while on travel but they are not just photos.
I mean, we all take them but do we think they are actually worth showing to others?
er; it was the 'just photos' I was referring to.

Don, good lighthouse photo! I like the bold contrasting color of it against all the greys. I wonder how many light houses there are in the USA and World?

The stair shot is really reminiscent of a shot from the 50's! Just need a couple of models in 50's style clothing standing about ready to go up. Very well composed!

I'm back from Davenport Tasmania. Where it is fun watching the big ships come in and turn sideways to the beach and aim for the narrow channel into the harbour.

Busy port for one so small compared to other harbours. As we were arriving, we had to wait for two ships to leave.

Long zoom shots.
