I spent several hours yesterday morning at part of our city's Central Park, walking a few miles and taking photos.

The walking was good, but photo results a bit disappointing.

Here's a scruffy looking male Western Bluebird...

Not all was lost Dave, you had a good walk to keep the limbs limber.
The bird is quite interesting. Parts of the breast have the same color as a robin. Nice plain BG keeps the interest on the bird.

I agree that the bird sort of resembles a robin but I'm sure it's a bluebird because when it flew away the strong blue on it's back was obvious.

I learned something from the photos I took that morning - a sky with just a touch of light haze makes a good background for photos of birds,

I heard that parts of the Dakotas had some dangerous weather conditions a day or so ago; hope it wasn't near you.
