Greetings all! Our First Friday on Main was yesterday. A disappointing turnout for the classic cars. Very few. This one I have posted in the past. A 1933 Plymouth Coupe. Notice the license plate. It is from my county number,, 8th largest population in the state from 1933. The owner drove it from Phoenix, AZ to SD. Takes a lot of faith to do that....and a good back!

What a beauty, Rich. I note the decorative detail of the flame-shaped in the rumble seat. And well done with the photos - even in strong clear sunlight you controlled the values to avoid blown out whites. And I like the weathered wood on the front of the buildings.

I agree that driving this antique from AZ to SD requires great faith, or maybe a backup team ready to step in with a long distance tow.

No car photos from me right now, but here's a shot of a strange plant I saw yesterday. To me it looks primeval...

Have a good day, everyone.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Dave, it is primeval. It is a Cycad. They grow very slowly.

Smile They are basically living fossils if you like to think that way.

Your image reminded me of this unrelated plant photo I captured in 1982 of Dryandra formosa.

First of all, Rich, that is a nice collection of auto images of this fine-looking automobile.  Yes, the drivers had to be extremely brave to make that journey.

We are having crazy weather over here, too.  Tomorrow it is supposed to go in the low 90s, and then on Thursday the high will be in the 60s.  It is crazy.

Regarding your mysterious plant find. Do you think it might have been used to inspire some of the plants in the LITTLE SHOP OF HORROR MOVIES?
