Post your other non-phtographic art here.

I came across a photo of this small painting I did maybe in the early 2000s?
(found the photo of it in my archives when Iwas looking for something else)
It's most likely acrylic. Small canvas panel.
The original is probably in a box somewhere in the basement.
It was just a practice piece done from a set up on the table.

Thanks Patty!
Your painting has a lot going for it. The chair in the BG has shadows to give depth to it , 3D, as does the cup and spoon and tea cover. Reflections of the chair are great! Lots of detail on the cup and tea! I like the corner location and squareness of it. Well done!

Thanks Rich!
We still have that table and those chairs, but the tourist mug got broken.
(kids brought it back from Florida)
Nice to have a small reminder of it!

I came across this from 10 years ago when I made a brief foray into painting with acrylic paints. Some studies of various trees. Didn't last long though.

Those studies look good, Don!
Some of your macro shots would look good in acrylic!

I have messed around with acrylic. Not my favorite medium,
but it is workable on a variety of surfaces.

Very nice. Nice layering of different colors to indicate depth and textures.

Don, good practice lesson! Good shadows and detail.

I was doing oils, and acrylics before I settled on watercolor. Acrylics are a pain to clean out of the brush. They do dry too fast but there is an additive you can use to extend the time.

Grant, good rock work! Waterfalls look great!
