Thanks for the comments Peter.
The plant on the beach was actually shot in South Africa - don't know what it might be.
The rock is actually called The Australia Rock, based on the shape of the hole in it. It is to be seen at Narooma, NSW.
The New Year fireworks session was a disaster for us. Our son-in-law had an emergency appendectomy on New Years Eve! We tried to get shots of the 21h00 kiddies fireworks, but couldn't find parking. We eventually walked some distance, and were basically too late to get anything worthwhile. The crowds were incredible! Thereafter, we returned home, and watched the main show on the TV. The image generated came from a few camera shots of the TV screen, which I combined in Photoshop!
The Shack was captured near Barraba NSW; and I used a shot of some rocky ground taken in O'Reilly's Rainforest QLD as an overlaid texture.

Ah. Thanks for the explanations. It cannot be Warrigal greens if in South Africa.
I've seen other shots of the Australia rock now that I think about it but from different angles. Next time I'm in Narooma I will look for it. I love the view from the Narooma Golf Club. Spectacular 180˚ view of the ocean.
Hectic with a emergency appendectomy but at least you had fun with images off the TV. I have done the same because there's no way I'd go to Sydney to be in that crush of people when a safer view and better overall view is right there on my tv.
Barraba, I don't recall being there but may have driven through without noticing much.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.
This quite the variety of images, Peter.
The first shot is a little deceiving, it almost looks like a shot taken from high above. The tiny leaves looks like a cluster of bushes with little sink holes leading up to them.
I would have never guessed that you took the shot of the fireworks off of your TV. WOW! That worked out just fine.
I like the lighting on the rock structure. It is an interesting formation.
My favorite shot is the shack.
Are you happy with your club’s new committee? Have things changed much? We are up to 43 members in our club.

I agree with Lorells comments, well done!
There is a scene quite similar to the shack along the 4 lane highway going to my daughters home. No chance stopping for a photo with traffic at 80 mph, 128 kmh.

Thanks for the comments, Peter, Lorell, and Rich.
Yes Peter, the Narooma Golf Club is a great spot. In fact, the whole area around Narooma is a great spot for photography. I got the pointer to the area from something Peter Eastway wrote in connection with his publication - Better Photography Magazine. Unfortunately, this seems to be the wrong time of year for that area. We hardly had any golden-hours in the 2 weeks + that we were there - too much cloud.
I'm glad you like the Shack Lorell. The judge scored that image the lowest of the four. But in this case, I have to agree with his ratings!
Our camera club also has about 40 members these days. Only 18 members entered images into the January meeting, but this is usually a quiet month.
The Committee was reduced to 3 officials this year. In previous years between 4 and 11 committee members were allowed for.

As noted, a great variety of superb images.
I really like "The Beach", but many others are amazing.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

All wonderful images that meet the subject. My favorite is the ocean rock with the sun shining through.
I like them all.
I like the storyline of the bridge phoot though, with the old ship in the foreground and the modern Australian architecture in the background.
That old cabin is quite a find. Those trees are huge.
PS. I think the time on the wristwatch was a few seconds off.
Great work, Peter, thanks for sharing with us every month around this time.
