HEY THERE.
DH and I have been up at the trailer since Monday afternoon.
The air quality conditions due to the forest fires in Canada restricted our outside activities so it was a relatively quiet three days up north. The weather was good but when you are not supposed to breathe the air outdoors...oh well, no sense staying cooped up in a TIN Trailer when the temps were going into the 80's. Besides, we don't usually like to be in the campground over the 4th of JULY holiday. Too much noise, partying, drinking, yelling, off-road vehicles whizzing around, etc. for our taste. We like peace and quiet so we can listen to the birds chirping and the breeze blowing.
I am sure you all read that Detroit had the worst air quality on Wednesday in the WHOLE-WIDE WORLD! That is nothing that we should be boasting about, but last night's sunset was magnificent. It was a HUGE bright ORANGE ball in the sky. Unfortunately, we were in the car and I missed taking a shot of it.
I even took some photographs one morning. They are still in my camera, but I think I have some that are good enough to share.
Dave, thanks for starting the daily with the SOLO ROSE. It's clever how the stem is in the middle but the rose veers off to the right ending up in a perfect 3rds
location.
It was good to see Patty again. I bet that was good pizza at that bar. It is a shame how many places are no longer around due to a variety of reasons. It is hard to stay in business, people aren't eating out as much as they used to and retailers have to compete with online purchases. What is on the horizon, I wonder.
Peter, the close-up of the ground growth is so really cool and yes, artistic. It actually had some mood to it. I felt I was on the forest floor right next to you when you shot it.
Don, I hope you are staying hydrated on your bike trip. Looking forward to hear the details and see the photos. I liked your BLUE abandoned vehicle.
