[Man From Ironbark]

Dave's shot is well crafted and it exemplifies that even nature says that blue and green should never be seen without a colour inbetween.

I like Don's image of the church where the thirds of green straw and mist are compressed by the overbearing rocky terrain.
It really is the best shot of eiderdown that I've ever seen. It isn't as much the seals as the water. All well balanced images.

Recently, the lady from ironbark wanted me to take her to the hills where she could find rocks and trees like an image I'd taken of her in the same valley some years before. Basically she wanted the same view without her in the picture. We talk about light in images being what makes the image and the shadows within.
Here is that image

There is a bevy of issues; of the season and the time of day, the weather on the day, the direction the image was taken the position it was taken from. Difficult to replicate without carefully logged measurements of these in the original image. This tri wasn't the brightest day and it wasn't the right time of year or the right time of day.
I might show a few to show the difficulties of the light. In this one I had to play with the colour adjustments to make the rocks look more like they should.


You can see in this image the kind of challenges I was facing. Those of between too much light and too little.
