Nice to see you Peter, and thanks for starting the daily.
When you take on a job like a newsletter editor, your precious free time lessens. But I am sure you are able to balance things and produce great photos as well as an informative article like this one. I enjoyed your article and agree, the light post needs to go. You are an expert at the use of editing software. I could learn a lot from you. But the I think the greatest talent that you possess is your imagination and how you think outside of the box. That is something that cannot be taught. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your ideas and process.
Dave, IT IS perfect, the color, focus, DOF, composition but especially the MOOD. You nailed it.
Our club meeting was fun last night but sometimes I come home feeling a wee bit deflated when I do not get much reaction from the group regarding my photos. Oh well, you cannot please everyone, so you better please yourself. The photo that I got the most positive reaction from was the one that I posted in yesterday's thread, the outdoor flower pots in front of the closed market. And I wasn't even going to use that photo because I didn't think it was good enough to share. You just never know.
Here is something I found in the Thomas Edison Museum near an old Victrola exhibit. Every once in a while you come across something that was BEFORE OUR GENERATION and that feels good. So, here is something that our parents probably danced to.
