Friday:
Lorell, Sorry you caught covid.....I have avoided going into crowds, don't want to get sick! Hope you are vacinated and that the symptoms are mild....Love the lighthouse shot....made of marble? really? WOW!
Dave, that peachy rose is beautiful...on my screen, I see very little difference....glad Don's roses still going strong!
Hi, Peter, Rich! and Lorell! Hope the storm coming your way is less than predicted. For both of you.
Sat and Sunday:
Dave, that is a wonderful selective focus on the yellow flower...well done!  That red juicy rose is awesome!! You got a great shot in the rain!!  I want to sniff it, I bet it's a strong scented one!! Like the Lincoln rose.
Rich, I like your shots of the old cabins.....fields of lost dreams....makes me wonder what happened to all the families? That Nikon did a decent job back then!!
Lorell, again, a great shot of the 1225!  So dramatic smoke!!  I can almost hear it roaring down the tracks!!  I would not have guessed your deer shot was in a snow globe but boy did that work out to your advantage!! I love it! Especially those little flecks of glitter snowing down!!
Hi, Don!
Peter, Happy New Year  to you, too. Щасливого Нового року! in Ukrainian!! Yes I can speak it (colloquial and everyday language) My grandparents spoke no English. I also can read it. Whole different alphabet, though.....
Is that fringy purple flower an orchid, also? So pretty!! I bet it's tiny, too!! I like blue flowers, and it goes well with the yellow. Hard to think it's warmer where you live....but hey, It's actull 66° F here today!!  Big change from 10° F on Christmas.....
Grant, that's a wonderful motion shot!  Ah, youth!!
Monday:
Dave, your pink juicy rose is pretty, but the red one really grabbed me!!
Grant, love all that snow and frozen ice on the branches....the color is okay, but doesn't look real....I think B&W might be better for me.....I really like the snowy grass fronds....with shadows....nice! Now that hoarfrost in the branches with the blue sky is my favorite!!  Well caught! We don't get hoarfrost often so several years ago when we had it, I spent all morning freezing my buns off shooting it, trying to get a good shot!  Even on the ground, but I cannot get down on the ground anymore or I can't get back up!
Rich, that is a most beautiful scenic shot....WOW!  It has a lot to offer the viewer!!
Lorell, I DO understand about the pin cushion!  I can't tell you how many times I spilled my box of pins and had to pick them up and even got one pin in my foot cause I missed finding it. Having them all drop in correctly is a dream!!I like the pins, too. Unusual.......I haven't quilted in 25 years, but we hand quilted all winter when my mother in law was alive....the church sent the quilts to relief auctions to help the needy....I pieced them on the machine and we hand quilted ( I had bloody fingers to prove it!) Somewhere in the closet is a quilt I made for myself 25 years ago, but never finished quilting it....about 2 feet left to quilt. I doubt I will ever finish it....and the bad part is, I left some pins in it, and they have rusted. Sad
