I tried the harmonica in my adult life. Lost it though. I never did figure out what happened to it. I think my kid's hid it.
My instrument of choice was the trumpet starting in 5th grade. Served me well. In the Navy I was in the Drum and Bugle Corp in Boot Camp. On my first duty station in Lemoore, CA I played morning and evening colors for a while, until they got the equipment to do it electronically. Also played taps for military funerals.
Here is a 1957 Corvette that belongs to my friends. The husband had one in 1962 and then Uncle Sam called him up. He sold it. Then found this one and restored it to the same color and interior as his first one. He has made his living restoring Ford Mustangs and Shelby's. Does great work. Has a museum here in town.
