Good mornng, Don, and thanks for starting the daily for us. Well, it sounds like you have a good time awaiting you. I know it would be expensive considering how expensive everything is right now, but you won't be spending money for a while on your own summer trips because of your trailer being out of commission (geez, I don't know how to soften that up, so I just said it). Also, gas would only cost $2.50/gallon because you would be splitting the cost as well as hotel costs. FOR ME, the biggest factor would be spending 12 days with someone in a trailer. Is this the fellow who is handicapped? Is the fifth wheel roomy enough for two big guys with guitars, cameras, etc.?
Every day is a blessing and I think about that a lot more than I ever use to. So, enjoy the gift. You will probably have a great time and come back with some great pics and lots of good memories.
I am sure that you can make up your own mind but thought I would just chime in with some thoughts on the matter.

Sad Story
When I visited the zoo last week with the photo club, we walked through the kangaroo/wallaby attraction. The zoo was buzzing about the fact that the newest member of the wallaby family, who was born five months ago, had emerged from the mama's pouch for the first time. It was seen the morning that we were there and you should have seen the smiles on the zoo worker's faces.
Then just yesterday came this breaking news: Detroit Zoo Reveals 5-Month-Old Baby Wallaby Is Missing: 'We Are Heartbroken"
I feel so bad for the zookeepers and the MAMA wallaby.
More details of the story are available if you click on the link. The area where the kangaroos and wallabies are kept is quite secure from the animals getting out. Visitors have to go through double doors when they enter and exit, so that once the first door is closed behind you, the second door can be opened to allow you to go in, and exiting is the same. However, this is a big open area and there is no protection from the baby's natural predators who might fly in overhead.
Here is a photo was taken from within the area.
This reminds me of Grant's photo of Casper, right?
