Good morning, Dave, and it appears that Ron's Mustard & Ketchup roses enjoyed yesterday's rain that was anticipated by yesterday's image.  Beautiful vibrant colors against a nice dark green background really make that beautiful rose pop.

Don,
On the road again.  Good for you.
Your trip sounds like it has something for everyone, including getting together with family. Finally, we can resume our life and livelihood.
DH, I, and our Florida guests went to the St. Armone circle  in Sarasota specifically to dine at the Columbia restaurant there.  We arrived too late at it was a 1 hour and 15-minute wait!  YIKES.  So, we walked to the next restaurant and had delicious half Cuban sandwich and salad there.  If you closed your eyes, except for the ambiance of the Columbian restaurant, you would swear you were eating at white linen-covered tables surrounded by waiters making jugs of minty Mojitos,  pitchers of fruity Sangrias and bowls of their famous tossed salad.  The only thing we missed was the fresh crusty bread and soft creamy butter that they bring to the table before the meal.  I would go back to this restaurant, especially since it was less expensive than the Columbia, but the food was just as good.

You sound like you are taking enough gear. I am still lucky that I can fit all of my equipment into a makeshift SAMSONITE travel back.  It suits me fine and has enough pockets to hold batteries, chargers, ND filters, etc.  If I should ever get a second camera, though, that would be a different story.

I enjoyed your photos from last year's trip to the Circle B.  I especially like image #2 and the gnarly and expressive tree trunk along the inviting path that leads the viewer into the composition.

Hopefully, you will see lots of birds.  Here is one that posed for me a few weeks ago on one of my morning walks.
