Wonderful trip through memory lane here. I get pretty nostalgic these days.
My first camera was a Kodak 110 Instamatic. I think I was around 11 or 12.
Once I became a freshman in high school, I realized I wanted more. So about 1981 or so I started my first paper route, and found a restaurant that would let me wash dishes under the table, and saved up for the Canon AE-1 Program. It came with a fantastic 50mm lens, I bought another telephoto and another prime, but, I almost exclusively used the 50. I started shooting for the High School year book and never looked back.
