Good day, friends.

My morning walk today was under a moderately thick marine layer and that softened and diffused the light a bit, producing a pleasing effect on photos.

Here's one: I tried three different crops and did relatively little processing - just slightly brightening the entire image, adding a bit more brightness, to the blossoms, applying a touch of increased color saturation (mainly to boot the reds about 10%), and a varying touch of sharpenning to some of the blossoms...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Greetings Dave, I like the diamond pattern of the COI and the tweaking you did. Well done!

Here is a Bird of Paradise from the Coronado Hotel in San Diego.

Thanks Rich.

The BoP is always photogenic, and you nailed it: composition, color, values & contrast, and sharpness all are top-notch.

Did you know that this flower comes in at least one other coloration? A neighbor used to have some that were much lighter, and without the orange, red, and blue. Very attractive in its own way.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
