Green and purple - IMHO an under-appreciated combination. The flower really pops. Nice work!

Here's a California Poppy next to our mailbox, taken over the weekend. We really enjoy the spring profusion of poppies; we've never intentionally grown them, but they return every year - sometimes as many as 200-300 blossoms in our small front yard.

Nice one, Dave.....pretty color.....nicely composed. Oh I've planted poppies so many times......and they never come back....we have heavy clay soil, they must not like it....

Such colorful flowers captured so well. 

I took this photo a few years ago and changed the tone to sepia for a different look. I had the idea to replace the sepia on the bridge with its original color and leave the background sepia. I thought it gave a pleasant contrast of colors.

Natalie a great color combo from and for nature as Dave said....but maybe not so much for the living room! Excellent exposure and composition! Your weather is perfect foe South Dakota!!
