I got some chores done this morning and have decided, I just might sew for the rest of the day. Or maybe not.  BECAUSE It is a very overcast day and perfect for taking photographs of flowers.  So, maybe a trip to the local nature center for some floral shots.

But until then, I will share this one that I grabbed up north.
I hope you have a great start to this weekend.

Subtle and impactful! Very well spotted and created.

I'll try to return later with a photo.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

It is awesome Lorell.
Is it a rose or a camelia that the wasp is hiding in?

Late last week I posted a shot of a Great blue Heron in flight, taken on an early morning walk.

Just seconds and a few paces later I noticed a squirrel on a roof and managed to catch him/her in mid-scamper...

My gardening efforts this year show some promise of a better than usual outcome. Furthest back is a small raised-bed where I sowed seeds of peppers: Poblanos, Big Thai Hybrids, Thai Hot, and more. The larger potted plants are mostly tomatoes, sowed in pots with seeds courtesy of Quint (thanks again sir) - several of the heirloom varieties he recommends plus 3 or  4 of my personal favorite tomato, the Black Krim. Plus several more pots sowed with more of the peppers and a couple of other tomato varieties. The empty-looking pots in front are where I recently sowed a variety of more seeds that haven't sprouted yet.

I hope you all are having or had a good weekend.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Dave, Glad to see your tomato plants are thriving. Mine are doing well also with many blossoms and fruit. Another few weeks for the ripe ones to start.
Always a joy waiting for the first ripe one.

My new tomatoes are germinating. Though I've got some that I'm trying to keep through the winter.
