Hello and welcome to Friday's Daily.
I think I have another B&W for our club's meeting next Thursday.
I left the checkerboard colored to add a little distraction, interest, story, etc.
Does it work?  You tell me.

Tomorrow I will be a on field trip with the photo club.  We shall be gone all to take photos of lighthouses, freighters, museums, The BLUE WATER BRIDGE (connects USA and Canada), a boardwalk, and many other things in an all-day trip to Port Huron.

I probably won't be checking back in until Sunday.
Have a good rest of your day.

Lorell, that sounds like a great photo outing.

I'll repeat what I've said before - you excel at B&W. This photo shows your mastery of values and of composition. And the subtlety of the selected color is spot on.

I have nothing approaching the quality of your photo, but I'll post one from last week anyway...

Yesterday I stumbled across a wonderful find: an audio disc of 15 oldies that I burned a decade ago. I was pleased and amazed that all tracks were undamaged.

1) Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles (can't help feeling good after listening)
2) It's a Heartache - Bonnie Tyler (terrific raspy voice)
3) I'm a Man - Chicago (I'm not a big Chicago fan, but this version rocks!)
4) Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress -  The Hollies (great guitar riff)
5) Proud Mary - Ike and Tina Turner (early proof of how talented Tina is)
6) Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay - Otis Redding (an easy listening classic)
7) Venus - Shocking Blue (maybe a one hit wonder, but powerful)
8) I'm a Man - Spencer Davis Group (The original version, and pretty darn good)
9) Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison (brings back memories of college girlfriend before I started seeing my now wife)
10) Papa Was a Rolling Stone - The Temptations (excellently arranged and performed)
11) Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon and Garfunkel (Art Garfunkel's pure voice at its best)
12) Maggie May - Rod Stewart (not sure why it's her; maybe a guilty pleasure?)
13) Pinball Wizard - The Who (The entire Tommy was ambitious and successful)
14) Bus Stop - The Hollies (appealing story well performed)
15) Baby It's You - Smith (maybe another one hit wonder, but also very powerful)

I have a 4 disc set of Cat Stevens; takes me back to my college days.

I'd like to get:
The House of the Rising Sun (and several more by Eric Burden and The Animals)
Paint It Black (and lots more by the Stones)
Many by CS & N / CSN & Y
Me and Bobby McGee by Janice Joplin (and several more by her)
Midnight at the Oasis by Maria Muldar
A Whiter Shade of Pale - Procul Harum
Pretty much anything by Judy Collins (I saw her in concert at a great natural outdoor amphitheater.)

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Many of those songs are amongst my faves as well. Shows our age probably.
Enthralling use of B&W there Lorell.
Dave always seem to come up rosy.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.
