Dave, a very delicate looking flower, almost looks like a paper artificial one!
Quiet in the Pub today! Maybe some are still nursing their hangover from the weekend party!

A very delicate poppy shot, Dave.
Here's some the pink cockatoo we named after the surveyor/explorer who reputedly first reported the species, Mitchell. They get the major part of the name from the striped crest.
These are relaxing and preening in my front yard. They are about sixty feet up there. Notable also is that parrots and cockatoos do chew the bark off the branches. This is likely due to the fact that their beaks need constant wear or they grow too long. It also offers protection from predatory goannas from getting a grip on the bark. As a defence around their nesting sites, they take of larger portions of bark to attempt to defeat these large monitors.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.

Thanks Rich and MFI.
MFI, those cockatoos are so are so photogenic. And the behaviors you explained are really interesting. Natural evolution is amazing, constantly tweaking the morphology, behavior, and chemistry of organisms to make them more precisely suited for their environment.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
