Greetings Foto Friends!
Did you get to see the "Pink Moon" last night? So named as it is the first full moon in April. I shot this through a window so not real sharp.

Named After Pink Flowers
The Pink Moon in April gets its name from pink wildflowers that bloom in the early spring. It is thought that the name comes from the brightly-colored pink phlox wildflowers that are native to North America and that often bloom around the time of April’s Full Moon.

Thanks for starting our Daily. Rich.

I missed the pink full moon.

Some lilies I spotted on yesterday's morning walk...

Nice to see the forum is still active.

Hi Rich
Hi Dave

A progress shot on our remodel. Our staircase from the second floor splits on a landing one side goes to the kitchen
We have not used it ever since we moved in as we have a puppy gate blocking it off.
We gained counter space by permanently blocking it off.

Here is a progress shot.
One can see the stairs

Grant, it looks like you are putting up a new backsplash too. Is it the red glass tiled on as seen behind the stove, or is that in the process of being torn down?  That looks like a really long counter space. I do not even see a sink in the photo.

Dave, those are beautiful lilies.  Did you get a close-up of the top one?

Rich,  We have had so much rain, morning, noon, and night around here, that I am afraid we missed that great-looking moon.  Not a bad photo from behind glass.  I bet you are glad you are not seeing any more snow out of those same windows.  Maybe I missed it, but did you start swimming on Monday?  How did it go?

Here is another from the orchid show photo shoot.  The second challenge that I gave them was FOCUS THROUGH A FLOWER.  This technique is used a lot by professional flower photographers.  The goal is to focus on a flower in the distance with another flower in-between the lens and the main subject hoping to achieve a colorful blur.  I really struggled with finding flowers that would cooperate and then one of our club members directed me to a spot to get this shot.  It worked rather well, I thought.

Interesting fix Grant!

Lorell, we have a few patches and drifts of snow left. Had a storm Tuesday and Wednesday but we lucked out and got rain. Yes pool opened Monday. Swam Mon and Wed and will hit it Friday too! Was very good to get back into it and I didn't forget how!

Looks like you naild the challenge. The OOF items bring the eye to the in focus flower. Well done!

Thanks folks for the nice response to my lilies photo.

Grant, thanks for the progress report and photos. Lookung very good!

Lorell, no I didn't net any good close-ups of the top lily; I didn't want to walk onto the owners yard without permission.

Nice "focus through a flower" photo. I think I wold have trouble with that; although I've gotten a handful of decent images of that sort, they were accidental.

It's only 8:15 AM here and I've already gotten two illegal telemarketing and scamming phone calls. I hope karma renders unto these low-life losers the fate they deserve.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hi Lorell, The Red tile Back Splash is being torn out. The sink is on a different wall. We are using a cream coloured 3x8 subway tile for the new back splash. The long counter is over 8 feet long.
Nice Bokeh Rich Floral BTW.
