Hello Everyone!
Hope you all had a good weekend!

Sunday thread: Rich, Caramel Apples.....I'd pay $6 for one!
MFIB: I didn't make notes of all the flowers I took photos of so I'll take your word for it!
The white outlining on the petals is beautiful. I just pulled them up on wiki...thanks for the name!

Good morning Patty and thanks for starting the week for us. Nice flower and good bokeh too.

Got up early (as usual) and decided it would be a good morning for a ride as my back felt pretty good. Went across the river into Alabama and was hoping for some county roads with little traffic but it didn't quite work out that way. Still it was a good ride and I didn't get rained on. I was hoping too for some good photo ops but all I got were a couple of meh shots when I stopped near a bridge going over lake Harding.

Thanks for starting the Daily, damar.

My apologies for not participating recently; mundane, real-life things got in the way. But I want to thank you all for the nice comments about photos I've posted over the past week.

damar, that's a striking photo.. And it so happened that because I have no new photos worth sharing I went into my archives and out jumped one from March 2005 that is very similar to yours. Obviously not the same species, but the colors and overall shape of the blossoms are remarkably similar...

Don, you posted as I was correcting my many typos. I'm glad your back is better and that you were able to get in a ride. Nice photos - the second one really appeals to me.

Wishing everyone a good week.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hi Don,
Thanks!
Well, good to see you felt good enough to take the bike out.
Nice photos of the lake. The sky in #2 is pretty. Looks like a
cool place to stop!
Country roads with less traffic are becoming more rare here; every few months
it seems like more cars and more cars.
They are building out the farmland so now those once quiet country roads
are busy with people driving fast and having to be somewhere. I always hope we can get behind a tractor with a hay rake
to just slow things down.
This happened to us in south FL. It's why we left.
Getting too old for pulling up stakes and moving!

Hi Dave!
Well thats interesting! Same colors and background! Very nice!!!
I like how the green recedes and makes the flower stand out.

Hi Quint!
Again, I really enjoyed your REO Speed wagon photo!
Very cool!

Thanks, Patty. I've got it matted and will give it to the owner.
Lovely stacked flowers. Very captivating.
