Patty, what a great idea for a fountain in front of a Vintage Garage! Love it!
A 1959 Cadillac UGLY???? NEVER!! Back when cars were CARS! My Dad had a '59 Caddy. 3 HS friends and I took it to Winnipeg, Canada in 1962 and one of my friends was driving and backed into a light pole. Glad I was home on leave from the Navy and had to go back soon!
P.S. It is kind of a monster!

Steve, A good looking Bus and Truck! Enjoy your rain. Thunder storms here tonight with 100 + F temps today.

Lorell, congrats on the newish Hot Rod Lincoln! Love the song, didn't know who did it.

Dave, beautiful color contrast! Superior composition.

Don, your music site sounds like a great place to practice and learn! You CD's and my paintings end up in storage. I have three box's of watercolors. many framed watercolors and many oil canvas' in my store room.

Lorell, now that's a school bus! Nice!
Focus on what brings you joy! ~Unknown~

Hi Rich!
I know the Caddy is high value in the 50s vintage car genre, but it's what we used to call a "road yacht".
LOL...The chrome and glass details are beautiful.
And who doesn't appreciate the space age rocket fins?
But put them all together with a dusty rose color and it can get a bit gawdy looking!

Don,
Coal miners: part of America's backbone. Anyone should be proud they had family members >>that tough.
Not an easy life for a family.

The reason why I asked is because I have a vintage coal burning laundry stove made by
Atlanta Stove Works and was wondering just how popular coal would have been. But being a big city, I guess coal was
easier to obtain than wood.
My grandmothers house had an outdoor chute where the coal landed in a pile down in the "cellar".
There was still coal down there when I was a kid.

I'm glad you knew I was kidding you! We called them boats too!
You're right on the color, bad enough to gag a maggot!  Big Grin  Big Grin
