Hey all and a Happy Friday to you all.

Got back from our trailer yesterday afternoon.  It was tough trying to stay cool. Our portable air conditioner worked really hard all day long, but thank goodness we had it, otherwise, there was NO way we could take the heat in that metal box we lived in for the few days that we were up there.

The boat is in the water, but the timing of the launch was delayed and due to high winds, I did not get a ride on it.  That is okay, we will have lots more opportunities the rest of the summer cause it looks like we will have plenty of warm weather.

Well, here is another photo that I hope will cool you down.  It is a view of Lake Michigan in January.  That is snow and ice on the beach.  I presented this at last night's meeting for the topic SUNBURSTS/STARBURSTS.  It was received well.

Lorell, I hope you get to get your boat ride soon. Nothing worse that high winds to ruin the enjoyment.

TGIF!
Lorell, hard to stay cool anywhere in the world it seems except for Peter, MFIB! Glad you had a few day's of fun. Too bad on the wind too!
Now THAT"S a starburst! WoW! Clouds are great and have a little color too. Makes me feel cool!

Nothing new here for photos. Went to a free movie today put on by my Bank travel club. It was Where the Crawdads Sing. Was really good. I haven't read the book but my DD did.

Good afternoon all. Great photo Lorell!  Thanks for getting us started today. Doesn't sound like your trip to the trailer turned out too well.

It's been hot here as well, and I've been working on my motorcycle for the past couple of days. Just about done with my project and can ride again.

So, I ordered chemicals to make my own D-23 developer and mixed up a liter a couple of days ago. Today I finished a test roll of 120 film and ran it through the process. Ended up with a blank roll of film! At first I thought the developer didn't work, but the pre-printed numbers on the film were there so I know the developer worked. I checked the shutter on the camera and it was working so the only thing I can think of is that somehow I got the film in "backwards" so it never got exposed. I do know that when I took it out of the camera something seemed "off" to me. Anyway I am going to run another roll through tomorrow and try it again.

Rich, we went to see Where the Crawdads Sing this week as well. DW had read the book and just had to see the movie. I started the book but never really got into it so I stopped reading it. In the theater there were probably 3 guys, the rest women. I wouldn't necessarily call it a "chick flick" but it definitely had appear to the women folk. But, I did enjoy the movie.

We have had thunderstorms this week, and I can hear some thunder now - DW's sister in Birmingham said they had some really bad weather yesterday.

Going to go see if I can help DW in the kitchen get some dinner started.

Lorell, That should cool you off....[not how well the picture was received] but the memory of ice and snow.

Wednesday was my Mom's one year memorial. For the last 40 years DW and I gave Mom yellow roses on her birthday. This is a photo my niece shot of an arrangement we sent her several years back

Seeing yellow roses passes a message of the presence of angels to you. It is a sign that your angel is around you, and showering you with love, joy, and happiness. Whenever you see yellow roses, it is a sign that there is a celestial being around you. During this time, you should be more sensitive to the things you say.

I'm late to the party again, but wanted to make a brief appearance.

Love the reminder photo of  Michigan winter. Lorell.

Hi Quint and Rich.

Sorry to hear about the mishap with your film, Don.

Grant, that photo is a nice keepsake image. It got me thinking about my Mom; one of the things she loved was birds - watching them and collecting figurines of them. I guess that's where I got my love of photographing birds.

No new photos from me - been in a dry spell (no drought-related pun intended) lately.

Have a good and safe weekend, everyone.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Don, that's a bummer! Better luck next time!

Well, since this was a free movie there were quite a few men. I would say a "chick flick" too but it was good.

Grant, a wonderful photo and I love the yellow rose message. What a great looking couple!

Have a good weekend Dave!
