Good Morning All.
A severe thunderstorm came though last night. No damage here but might be out by the lake. Will check it our when I go to the Memorial Day Service at the cemetery.
First photo is the car show Saturday. Second is the American Legion part of the cemetery.

Good Day Rich,  I am glad that you had no damage from the storms and hope that you are enjoying a nice Memorial day today. Your car photo reminds me that I will be attending our first car show around here in Two Years! I think you Dokatians enjoy vintage cars as much as us Michiganians.

Your shot of the cemetery is a gentle reminder of patriotism and love of country.  A more visual reminder might be an artistic creation by two guys who wanted to produce artwork that they hoped would remind people of the value of peace. The name of the work is "The Fallen" and represents the 9,000 men killed on the beaches of Normandy in WWII.  Although this was done in 2013, my husband just showed it to me this morning. Clink on the link, "The Fallen", and make sure you scroll down to see the many images, it is something that is quite incredible and moving.

Thank you Rich,  and to all who risked their lives to protect our freedom.

And to all the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice, THANK YOU.
