Greetings all.
Welcome to the weekend.
Let's do bright and cheerful.
We could all use some of that, right?

Let's see, Don, should be arriving in Texas hopefully soon.

Natalie, I think you should go buy that rose bush.  Maybe your mom could look down from heaven and give it a little guidance.

Dave, The rose you shared yesterday was outstanding.

Grant, how is your dad doing?

Rich, do you have a parade happening in town this weekend.  I got to check if we got one here.  It has been cancelled for the last two years, of course.

Michael, You still thinking about a new topic for the challenge?

Peter, Hello friend,

Peter D.  What's happening in your corner of the world

Patty, Hope you stop in and say "HI".

Steve, I am surprised that you already have suckers on your small tomato plants.  Does that mean that I should start pruning mine this early?   I got my plants yesterday. Do you put the pinched suckers in water to get them to grow roots?
Yesterday I bought:
  • Romas
  • San Marzanos
  • Jet Star
  • Beef Steaks

I know that the first two are perfect for Spaghetti Sauce.  But I also wanted some with volume too, so I got the second two also. I read that BIG MAMA's are good for sauce, but I have never seen them in the nurseries where I shop.

Greetings everyone!
Lorell, what a magnificent photo and manip. It shouts SUMMER VACATION!
No parade but I am out the door for another classic car show. Main is blocked off each Memorial weekend Saturday for a fund raiser to benefit Big Friend Little Friend. Need to get some different cars in my files. We have a program at the cemetery on Monday.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi, Lorell! Hi, Rich!! Hi, Y'all!
Lorell, that photo reminds me of my grandmother...shehad tablecloths like those and the hat reminds me of my mom, who always wore hats  in the summer heat when cutting grass or gardening!  Nice manip!!
Rich, hope you get some great vintage auto shots!! It's a nice weekend for car shows and outdoor memorial concerts....

Lorell, I suspect a lot of work went into your fine image. It is sophisticated and evocative.

Rich - I hope you enjoy the auto show, and I'm looking forward to seeing photos.

Nice capture, Natalie.

Hi Michael.

Taken on today's morning walk...

Good capture Dave. Popping off the screen.

Every time I see your signature I want to write this...LOL

Hello right back at ya, Lorell.
No. If you are going to plant the shoots from the tomatoes, it is best to cut them with a very sharp knife. Pinching will bruise them where you want to grow roots.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.

Hi Lorell and fellow Foto Friends

Interesting to see that you are using DAP Lorell. I must install version 7, still using version 5 at the moment.

Otherwise, life goes on here. I think I mentioned previously that I was doing a composite based on the blood moon episode. This took a ridiculous amount of editing (about 12 hours!) and I was pretty well sick and tired of it by the end. I started to do a write-up on the editing process - not sure if I will complete that.

I will attach the screen version of the image here. I did an A2 print that I will put up at our next club meeting, but that is slightly different due to being modified to suit the quirks of my printer. Our club management have decided that prints will not be judged for the foreseeable future (will only discuss them), so I do not do many prints nowadays. Also, our B&W meetings are still being done by Zoom, so no prints there either.

Regards - Peter

Peter, that is AWESOME! How long did it take you to shoot the images? Well worth the 12 hours of editing!!
Dave, that is a very effective shot of the leaves, using the yellowed one as the center of interest....reminds me of aging......!

Hi MFIB.

Peter, that's a lot of work, but it resulted in a heckuva image.

Thanks Natalie. It seems like everything these days reminds me of aging.

A very small (1.5 cm or a little over 1/2 inch) blossom on a small succulent...
