Well, as soon as my quiche is done baking in the oven, the dog and I will be off for our afternoon walk.
It is only getting into to the low fifties, but the sun is shining bright and the birds are chirping like crazy.

Here is one of my prized photos from the Henry Ford Museum visit.  Sometimes without even planning, the plan comes together and you get lucky with a shot like this.
This photo was well received at our club meeting last Thursday and am excited to share it with you.
Blessings to All and remember to count your blessings.

Nice capture, Lorell. That's quite a balancing act he's got going on.

Very nice, Lorell.....those kids really make the image......I like the colors, sets the mood!
It's 60° F here today, so I went out to take some floral shots....the periwinkle is blooming....but the wind is something else...only got one or two shots without blur.....

Wonderful image, Lorell.

Hi Quint.

Natalie, that's quite a delicate blossom. I like how it looks with the large beige leaf behind.

From yesterday, a small potted gift plant in the front yard...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Good afternoon all.
Wonderful spring blooms, so bright and cheerful.
Just the kind of thing you want to see on a leisurely Sunday afternoon walk.

Dave, that is an unusual flower. I have no idea what it is either.

Natalie, I really like the soft bokeh around the violet.

If Don is around, I just thought I would tell him that Grant is having problems uploading FF on his computer. I see that he has not dropped in and he sent me an email about 2.5 hours ago asking for YOUR email address, which I do not have.

Hi Lorell, Got it figured out. I dumped the cache and refreshed. Now it works....

Nice captures everyone. Wednesday we will be up to 50°F, so bye bye white stuff. Then it will be trying to get the dirt off the pups.Their 9 month birthday was on the 15th. They are still stubborn like kids in their terrible two's. Oh well we signed up for it....

I never processsed this. So the Last Frost of the season.

Grant, glad that you were able to connect.
I think your latest frosty window photo may be my favorite.
Oh, those puppies grow up so fast. Looks like that one wants to be brushed. Good doggie.

Thank you Lorell,
Another pro shooter and friend of mine introduced me to Photo Matrix Pro.I seldom use it because I like to be in the driver seat. Although software makes the process less time consuming it seldom does what I want it to.

Before HDR processing, I would process lighter and darker versions. Then layer and erase parts to achieve the more detailed look I was after. By following subtle existing patterns I could put emphasis on and bring out those patters in a more painterly fashion. The colour I achieve in the Frost also involves manipulating the curves in one layer and erasing parts away to show detail from another layered image.

However I use a similar approach in a more natural landscape. I know I shared this on WC.
