Happy Hump Day.
I am still going through my photo archives, and I stumbled on a folder I thought I had lost: photos of the three dogs who were beloved members of our family.
Our current dog is a Westie named Pippin, and we got him from a shelter. We think he's around 12 or 13years old. He is slightly smaller than the average Westie but has that terrier attitude - he thinks he's a large dog trapped in a small dog's body. You've all seen photos of him so I won't force more on you.
Our first shelter dog was a mixed-breed terrier. She looked like Chewbacca and that's what I wanted to name her, but wife & kids would have none of that. We named her Hazel. She was abused before ending up in the shelter and it took a year for her to stop cowering at loud noises. But she was such a sweet soul. She was very special to me. Here are two photos of Hazel:
1) Posing like a sphinx...
2) And a good look at her expressive eyes...
And our first dog was also a Westie. We got Guinness from a family in our city. Although the runt of the litter, he turned out larger than average for a Westiie.Guinness was pretty smart and definitely stubborn, but also loving and endearing.
2) Guinness as an adolescent at about 14 months old...
3) And a photo my wife took of me holding baby Guinness (both of us looked a lot younger the) on New Year's Day 1999 - the day we brought him home...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
