This is a day often dreaded by those suffering from certain phobias: first there is paraskevidekatriaphobia, which is the fear of Friday the 13th; and there is the broader fear of the number 13 in general (triskaidekaphobia).

I've always liked the number 13.

From 4-1/2 years ago, here's a shot of representative ingredients for home-made salsa, sitting in a genuine Mexican molcajete...

Been a normal day for me Dave except for an exceptional massage.

Yes, I remember that photo! Good setup and execution!

Took a photo today of a house in town that has Halloween overload. Will post tomorrow.

We received about 3 inches of rain the past two days.

Rich, that's a lot of rain in 2 days. Thanks for you comments on my photo. (I suspected I may have posted it years ago, but wasn't sure because back then I didn't keep records of which ones I posted. Sorry about the duplication.)

I'm looking forward to seeing the house that overdosed on Halloween decor.

I enjoyed viewing your photo again Dave.

We are always grateful for fall rains as this helps the bushes and other small plants get through the winter without what we call winter kill. If they don't have enough moisture, the snow, cold weather and winds will kill them off. It will turn an evergreen bush brown on the north west side. Northwest is the prevailing wind direction in the winter.
