Good morning all. The rain seems to have passed here although if is a bit cool outside. Low 30's.

I grabbed this photo as we were leaving Marathon, Texas on our way back to San Antonio to catch a flight the next day. I had seen this old abandoned building at the edge of town and wanted to shot it. I was fortunate that the sky decided to cooperate to give a pretty good image. Only took one shot as it was very windy and pretty cold that morning. I got lucky.

Wow, luck and skill produced a great image, Don.
Great image.

Waiting to hear from Dave about the very good game we saw last night. Your predictions, Dave, we’re spot on. I hope you bet on the game.

Good morning to all and happy Monday.

This Thursday is our local club meeting and of course, I will not be there.  However, now that our company has departed, I can not prep some of the photos for the meeting and run them past you.

Here is one from the Detroit Historical Museum.
In honor of February being Black History Month, I worked on this photo.

Very nice, Don - well worth braving the cold wind for a few moments.

Lorell - no, I didn't bet on the game. Yes it was a very good game. My thoughts:

1) Jalen Hurts (Eagles QB) was outstanding; he had  better stats than Mahomes - except for that crushing fumble and TD return.
2) KC coach Reid was out-coached by Eagle's coach Sirianni in the first half. But Reid is  very good at making half-time adjustments, and KC played a nearly perfect second half.
3) Mahomes passing yards were far below his average; that's probably because a) KC didn't want him exposed to being sacked; and b) because KC ran the ball so well in the second half. But despite throwing for less than 200 yards, his other passing stats were off the charts
4) I never would have expected KC to score 31 points on that great Philadelphia defense.
5) I expected Philadelphia to sack Mahomes at least three times - they got ZERO sacks (KC got two sacks on Hurts). The KC offensive line was superb at protecting Mahomes, and also at run blocking.

Excellent image honoring the Tuskegee heroes. Your trademark use of texture works great. and the overall sepia tone suits the image. Very good detail in the dark areas. I'm wondering if some lightening of selected parts of the lighter areas would be worth trying (it could ruin your image, or it could add a little value contrast) but I'd be tempted to give it a look.

I'm out of new photos, so here's one from Jan 2017 that I don't think I've posted before. I chose to amp up the colors a bit to brighten up the day for you all...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Dave , I think I may try your suggestions in the morning. It could use some highlights so it is not so flat.
