Happy Monday Everyone!
Well we had a beautiful weekend here.
Yesterday we drove up to the mountains to the Elijay area.
It was just swamped with tourists and parking was scattered throughout the small mountain town so we continued on because the best views were on the twisty turning up-and-down the mountains roads.
(a favorite for motorcycles)
We did stop at a TVA dam (Tennessee Valley Authority). They must own these old houses
on the lake shore side of the dam.
They are shuttered and neglected.

Mondaaay....Mondaaay, Mamas and Papas.

Really neat house!I like the composition and the subject. Interesting that the garage? roof slants into the building. Lots of rain goes that way! A beautiful lake!! I see why they call it the Blue Ridge!

Here is our Lake again. Showing part of the 1000+ year old Prehistoric Indian Village. In South Dakota we call Columbus day Native American Day.

Interesting wave pattern on Lake Blue Ridge, Damar. Must be topography changing winds?
Happiness simply is.

Hi Rich!
There were 3 or 4 of those houses all similar in build, all boarded up. All on the Dam property.
The brick work is nice and they had that Bavarian look to them.
Your lake photo is gorgeous!

I saw “Indiginous Peoples” day on our calendar and also Columbus Day as well and Thanksgiving Day in Canada…hope Grant and his family had a nice one!

Hi MFIB! Yes, the topo may have helped that affect and the breeze was coming toward me.
I’m not sure if that is a deep water lake or not. The river that makes up the lake is supposed to be some of the best fishing in the state though.
