As part of a routine physical exam I go to the lab today to have blood drawn for a number of standard analyses. I was instructed to fast for at least 8 hours so far my final meal late last night I wanted something satisfying. I decided on a version of chicken chili.
- One 15 oz can of Great Northern beans.
- One small seasoned chicken thigh, leftover from a few days ago and cut into small pieces.
- One 12 oz can of fire roasted tomatoes and various hot peppers.
- 1/2 tsp of fresh ground Cayenne powder.
- 1 tsp of dried diced Mexican Oregano.
Cooking couldn't have been simpler: throw all ingredients into a medium sauce pan and heat covered on very low heat, stirring occasionally.
The photo is 95% SOOTC (just and exposure adjustment (original photo was pretty much solid black), an increase in clarity, and a final round of USM to counteract the softening that comes from resizing to post. The intense red color came, I imagine from the Cayenne powder.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
