A lot of folks must be busy this week - not much stirring here.

Here is an early morning image taken from the ship. Lots of fog which kept the passengers from seeing a lot  on shore, but I able to work with this one to get a fairly decent image.

That's beautiful, Don.

Yes, folks must be busy; I know I am.

For our low-keyed Thanksgiving, my wife will be handling the main event - she's in charge of the turkey and the main sides. I'll work on a couple other sides and I hope to come up with some desserts. And I may put together a second variety of stuffing, just for variety.

I'll start by making the cranberry-orange relish, then I reserve a portion of that base to customize (I'm thinking of adding a little finely-diced jalapeno). I may also do a side of fresh green beans & bacon crumbles if I have time.

Dessert concerns me because all I have are some vague ideas. I'll probably do a traditional cherry pie, and I'm considering baking a number of different small pastries: maybe experiment to see if I can come up with cranberry desserts.

I've been doing a lot of reading recently, most of it 2nd or 3rd reads of some old favorites. Right now I'm almost done with book 2 of Asimov's classic Foundation trilogy.

I wish a peaceful Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it, and a great weekend to all.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave.

Sounds like a delicious Thanksgiving meal planned. Unfortunately for us, we cancelled our trip to have Thanksgiving with DD's family as her guest bedroom is downstairs. With DW's back issues, we didn't feel as if she would be able to get up and down the stairs. So, we are having a non-traditional meal. I'm going to grill some steaks and bake some potatoes and have a side salad. We will have pecan pie though. We do what we have to.

Don, I like how the buildings are wrapped in fog yet sunlit. Smile

Yet another sunset out back of my place.

Thanks Dave.
Gets a bit boring looking at the same empty paddock but for the sunrises and sunsets.
Maybe I should get out more.
Trouble is, by the time I drive anywhere more interesting, the sun is already up or gone down.
