[Don]

Good morning all - the last weekend of 2023!

DW and I have been doing last minute shopping, etc in anticipation of the upcoming trip. I have even started to pack a few things. We will leave home about 5 AM Wed morning to get to the local airport, short flight to Atlanta, then a longer flight to LAX. I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing about this.

We will probably watch the Georgia - Florida State ballgame this afternoon. Other than that, I'll probably was a load of clothes this morning before DW gets up. In a few minutes I will get in my morning walk, as I've been trying to walk a minimum of 2 miles every day for the past couple of weeks.

Hope all have a good weekend.

Thanks for starting the weekender, Don.

I don't think anyone is tired of hearing of your trips. And we certainly enjoy the photos you share with us.

Here's a photo from 2018 that I'm quite satisfied with.

Neither subject's face is part of the photo, and it's hard to tell which end of Pippin is where (his head is toward the left with his ears at about the i/3 vertical). But as unlikely as it may be, this photo is one of my favorites.

I tried a number of different adjustments in processing, most involved the values. One version resulted in a pleasing softness, so I took that effect a bit further.

The result was an image with limited but nice colors and a dreamlike mood that I'm imagining echoes whatever pleasant dreams I hope they were having.

Dave, definitely a dream like photo. Well done!

Here is one from around 2003. Taken in Texas near the SAS shoe outlet.
Did a little PS work on it!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.

Thank you Rich.

My immediate impression upon seeing your image - you captured Americana superbly!

Nice work.

Both of you.
Great choices of composition and exposures.
