I'm bad.
I am sorry.
I was up north for a while and wasn't checking in and then when I got back I got busy with a quilting project I had to get done.
I have not been taking ANY photos and didn't have anything new to share.
These are poor excuses and I apologize for my lack of participation.

Today, after missing the last two outings with my photo club, I will be attending a photo shoot with a few of them.  Detroit just finished their famous  MOTOR CITY Car Cruise two weeks ago. I did not attend, but there are other cities in the area that have the same thing but on a much smaller scale.  So, tomorrow night I will be at such an event hoping to get some new and good photos to share with you.

I need to take some time to catch up to see what you all have been up to. But that will have to wait till later as it is past 1 am now.
But before I go to bed, I wanted to start this daily and share this little photo I took about a week ago when we were up at our trailer.

Happy Hump Day, everyone (except MFI, for whom it is already Thursday - I hope it was a good day for him).

Lovely, Lorell.

The strong diagonal alignment adds energy, DoF is top-notch, the insect is a nice addition, and the entire image has a pleasing warmth to it. Did you apply a warm photo filter or maybe something similar from your various editing plugins? That would be similar to unifying a painting that needs something to tie everything together by applying a thin wash of color over the entire surface.

As you try to catch up with action here, take a look at two things:
1) Don started an interesting and important thread about the future of the FotoFriends website, and several of us have responded. Your thoughts and ideas would be most helpful.
2) In a response to the thread mentioned above, I suggested that Member Galleries (where we could post our best or favorite photos) might increase activity among current members, and also maybe attract new members. Apparently he liked that idea - he has already created the structure for these galleries for a few of us.

Like you, I went to my archives to find something to post; in this case it's one that I don't think I ever processed...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Lorell, good to "see" you!  Sometimes other things like family takes presidence, not to worry! Enjoy your quilting projects. Have fun at the club photo shoot!

I will echo all Dave has so elequently said! Is that a fire ant?

Dave, Well seen and photographed. Good exposure. What is the insect called?

I will check out the thread after I get back from PT for my hip.

Beautiful shot Lorell. Carrot seed head?
I don't believe it is a fire ant Rich.
Dave's katydid is a great contrast against the canna lily orange.

The name of this flower is Wahlenbergia.
