I figured I might as well be useful and start us a Monday daily before I try for a few hours of sleep.
It's poppy season here. We didn't plant these orange beauties, and they return year after year. They sure are vibrant and sometimes it's a challenge to control that.
This is the sidewalk in front of our house, with our outer front yard on the right and the narrow parkway area (between the sidewalk and the street) on the left. Also visible are white Alyssium flowers, a succulent, and some unidentified yellow blossoms.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Good morning Dave and thanks for starting the daily. Nice splash of Spring color to start the week. Weather here has been bad for the past few days. Just north of us a community was pretty much devastated by a tornado a couple of days ago, and it is still stormy around here. Today and tomorrow promises to be nasty but hopefully no tornadoes. I know some areas to the west have been hit hard.
I've been recovering from a stomach virus that hit last Wed - violently ill all night Wed and then unable to eat for the next couple of days. That and the weather convinced us to cancel a camping trip we had planned for the week. On the plus side I lost 5 lbs this week. I'm still hoping to do a solo motorcycle trip down to the Fla panhandle in a couple of weeks though.
Here is a pinhole camera image from a recent visit to Callaway Gardens when we went to see the tulips. I don't think I've posted it.
