Good Monday Moring All,
Let's get this week off to a creepy start.  What do you think?
I have to go out and buy my Halloween candy today.  If you are not in the mood to start celebrating the holiday, maybe this will help.
Have a good one,
LORELL

Very cool, Lorell. The colors sing. My favorite figure is the one at bottom right. Unless the software you used is extremely full-featured, I think I see numerous areas where you applied localized sharpening to good effect.

Still no new photos from me worth sharing so I went back into my archives to March 2017 and tried something I've not done before - a moderate Orton effect on a B&W image. You can't really discern the typical Orton look (it seems to work best on full color landscapes or florals), but it did a good job of softening the areas I wanted to de-emphasize and brightening areas I wanted to emphasize. A little bit of localized brightening and darkening took this a little farther, then I finished with a touch of sharpening here and there. It was a fun experiment and I learned a bit by doing it.

And being in B&W, it is a strong contrast to your wonderfully colorful image.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

That's very interesting, Lorell.....I want to see the original, now!
Hi, Dave....Lovely effect on your clouds....fun to experiment!
After Lorell posted her pencil sketches......(sorry I only saw them today, and they were all good!! ) I decided to go into Fotosketcher and see what it would do....been a while since I tried it out...it's a free program, and I've always been impressed by it......

I remember when so many used Fotosketcher.  I was always pleased with what it produced.  And am pleased with your sketch of the pick up truck.  Did FS create the "rain" effect or did you add that afterward?  I really like it.

Dave, This came out very nice also.  I am glad that you did not soften the whole image and even sharpened certain areas.  The contrast in this is excellent also.

Natalie, I posted the original a short while ago.
Here is is.

Thanks for sharing the original....I was sure you had already posted it but a quick search and I could not find it.....It really turned out nice in your conversion!!
The rain effect is how fotosketcher did pencil drawing...not trying to do rain, but it did look like rain, didn't it?
