Greetings Friends!
Fall is in the air in South Dakota. Some years we have snow in October, but doesn't last long. Here are houses decorated for Halloween. The first one is a couple of blocks from me and I drive by it every day. They are always the first to decorate and the last to put them away.

Enjoy your weekend.

Nice photos Rich.

There is one household in my neighborhood that the homeowners regularly decorate rather elaborately for various holidays throughout the year.

They start by taking some small PVC pipes and bending them across the sidewalk, forming arches about 7 feet high and 2-3 feet wide. Then they add small lights of various colors to each of these 12 to 15 PVC arches.

But that's just the beginning: for Halloween they usually add skeletons (of humans, or dogs, or dinosaurs). They also get a number of ghoulish scary creatures and arrange them in various poses, doing various activities.

Quite a lavish display - I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with this year.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
