Weekender 20/21 June 2026

As usual, my weekend is almost over. There has been a few light showers over the past couple of days. The sky overcast, the weather unusually warm for this time of year which was the winter equinox.
Was looking at water drops that hang around on broccoli leaves. They wobble a lot when poking a camera in.

Nice!

Water drops - always a good subject to photograph.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave.
They aren't so easy when in the wild so to speak. I've got a lot of photos of wobbly water drops.

It is known as Wonga Wonga or Pandorea pandoreana. A native vine usually found holding crumbling cliff faces together.

As Dave said, water drops always good!

Back in the day before digital I would carry a lot of gear in my camera bag. I always had a small plastic squeeze bottle of a mixture of water and glycerin to add drops on flowers to add interest.

I've never resorted to the water bottle. Water drops is such a rare event here that I get engrossed whenever I see it.
