My Alma Mater played their first game Thursday night and barely escaped with a narrow victory over a team that they were "supposed" to beat by 30+ points. Promises to be a terrible season. Some are already predicting a 1-11 season. Ugh. The other 2 teams we follow (Alabama and Georgia) play this afternoon.
I was removing some photos from my phone yesterday and pulled these two from those archives. One is a sunrise taken on a camping trip down to Florida and the other is Lake Louise in Canada, I believe from 2016.
By the way, anyone know what happened to Lorell? Haven't seen her in here for a while.

Immortalized forever
With silver and light"
Greetings all! Been awhile for a check in. Have a few photos from our annual carnival I will need to post. Monday seems like a good day. I don't understand why I never get notification of posts unless I have posted in it. Guess I will have to check more often.
Don, a blazing sunrise. Good exposure!
Yes, Lake Louise, I have been there. The splash of red really helps the interest factor.

Don't know about how Lorell's health has been but I have noticed that I cannot get down and up as easily as I used to be able. Hence I'm not taking as many photos of things down near the ground. Similarly, don't get out and about as often as I used to.
Bits of my body either don't work as well or have bits missing and generally things are going downhill.
Things have been replaced like my lenses. I now have much better vision than I've had for years.
I do however still take photos and wish to share them.
Beautiful things happen and they do beg to be recorded.
Even if there is something marring the view.
-The sunrise manages to be both intensely vivid yet serene. The Lake Louise photo is superb great composition, lovely colors, and the small red accents make the photo even better. And the church photo is topnotch. (I find night photos very difficult, but you seem to have mastered them.)
MFI, the ringneck is beautiful - well done.
Hi Rich.
MFI, I think most of us older folks are in the same boat. I remember from one of my biology classes reading that on average our bodies reach their peak condition at around age 25; it's all downhill after that. For me that means 51 years of deterioration: bad back, bad knees, bad hips, and worsening vision (most recently due to cataracts). I had to choose a new Primary Care Physician and am hoping he will quickly give me referrals for: 1) a cataract consultation followed by surgery; 2) a back specialist to alleviate my constant back pain; 3) a cardiologist just to make sure I'm OK there; and after these will be 4) an arthritis specialist; 5) a neurologist for hand tremors; and finally 6) a hearing specialist since I've not had my hearing assessed in over 60 years.
The list keeps growing. Each time I wake up, I wonder which body part the most will hurt that day. But at least I'm still waking up, which in most cases is better than the alternative.
I too am concerned about Lorell; I noticed that she hasn't posted on Flickr in 4 weeks. Somewhere I have her email address and I hope she won't mind if I email her to see if she's OK.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
