Hello folks.

The other day I noticed a rose with a nice combination of white and peach colors...

The background was left as dark as captured; I did lighten the petals a little bit.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Beautiful Dave, nice soft colors!
Thanks for starting the Daily.

Here is a scene from the Canadian Rockies. Lake Louise I believe.

Thanks Rich; as usual it was a case of right place at the right time, and trying not to mess up the sot.

Beautiful photo of Lake Louise. I love the color of the water.

I was there once many years ago; was on a business trip to Calgary and had my wife fly up over the weekend. We drove from Calgary to Banff - a very scenic drive. We also took an hours long hike in a huge park; I was within 15 feet of several bighorn sheep that were perched on some huge boulders. Quite an experience.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave!
Sounds like you had a good trip! That bighorn sheep sighting must have been thrilling.

I was on an organized Bank bus tour. We stayed in Banff a couple of days. as you know there are not many roads in or out of that area. When we left the hotel in Banff early in the morning to go to a glacier we saw smoke off in the distance. When we started to go back to the hotel they had closed the road because of a forest fire. There was only one other way back to the hotel and it was way out of the way. We were supposed to get back around 4 or 5 PM but we didn't get back until 3 AM the next morning. Bus driver had a long day!

Gee I'd love to travel.

I loved that line Tony Robinson said in the Jaberwocky. Someone was talking about this monster eating people over in Richmond. Tony did the emphatic pause and said, "Richmond (pause )that must be all of two miles (pause). Gee I'd love to travel". Still makes me laugh. Probably because I really haven't travelled far.

Rich, the bighorn sheep that I saw were between a large parking lot and the start of the hiking trail. My first reaction upon seeing them on the huge boulders was: "Wow! Those statues sure are realistic." Then I saw a few of them move and I realized that they weren't statues but the magnificent living creatures themselves.

MFI, I too wish I could travel. Some of my "wish list" destinations include your wonderful country and New Zealand, Costa Rica for the bird life, the Galapagos islands for their scientific importance, Alaska, and (in deference to my ancestry) Scotland and Ireland.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

The lady from Ironbark has been to Ireland and Scotland and Norway. Travelled by train down to Italy, all that stuff with my daughter as well. Me, I can't fly in those nig jets. Inner ear problem.
