Half way through November already, well at least Peter is at the half way point at about now.

I really am running late on preparing images for tomorrow night's photo club meeting.  I still have to take some photos of ICB , Intentional Camera Blur.  But if I don't, that is okay too.

One of the topics is Nature.
So, here is one that I might be submitting that I took using my WHITE BOX, but with a black poster background that I inserted into the box.
I am not sure if I like it enough.  I think it is too soft.

Well, I like it.
In the Aussie vernacular, That's a bewdy, mate or that's a beaut.
The black really sets off the silky bits.
Do you know which plant this came from?

and I'm past the halfway point. Wink

Here's some yellows.

Peter, I like the wee ant on what I think is a straw flower. Maybe, yes? The yellow is so bright and pretty.  Your image warms me.

The pod you see comes from a MILKWEED plant.  Do you have milkweed in Australia?

Thanks for sharing your reaction to my image.  I am still on the fence about that image.

Yes we do have milkweed as yet another of the introduced weeds. Yes we do have what we call our wanderer butterfly which is for all intents and purposes the same as your Monarch butterfly.

Yes Lorell, it is our equivalent of what you'd call a strawflower.

and, I am presuming that you know that milkweed is the preferred plant host for the Monarch.

Anyway, if you didn't notice, I gave anyone a link into my Lepidoptera album.

Oh yes, I know Monarch's love milkweed.
In my garden in the back, I never pull out the milkweed that grows wild back there. The other weeds don't stand a chance, but milkweed is safe in my garden.
LORELL

PS. That is an interesting moth, Peter. Wow. What kind is it?

I'm not really an expert on lepidoptera or many of the insects. I believe we've probably lost more species than we have described.
