Hey, I didn't want to see this week start without a daily.
So, here is a photo taken at a car show back in June of this year.  Glad to see that things are somewhat getting back to normal and this is a reminder to me to think of the positives and keep smiling.

Hope you enjoy this Ford Fairlane (the headlights have eyebrows)

WOWSERS! What a beauty!! Love the color and always loved the style, a classy classic! Good angle of view, I used to be able to shoot photos from that angle!

Here is the west end of our lake where the water comes in from a creek. The east end is dammed up. Our city cleared the trees out of the creek bottom to create the lake around 1918-19 and then it took a couple of years to fill.

Hey Lorell, thanks for starting the daily. Not sure why, but there were 4 or 5 duplicate posts, some with no image. Anyway, I deleted the dupes. Nice old Ford, by the way. I owned a similar one back in 1967.

I spent all day Friday repairing a leaky kitchen sink faucet, then all day Saturday replacing the bottom of the kitchen cabinet that had gotten soaked because of the leak. There was a motorcycle rally in town that I missed on Saturday, so I played hooky from church on Sunday to check it out. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather most of the vendors had left, the custom bikes were being loaded up to leave, and there just wasn't much going on. So Sunday rally was a bust. Then this morning the outside cameras security system died, so the last few days have not been the best. Sad Plus my son's car is still in the shop so I am still having to get him to work and back. Oh my, trials and tribulations. Hope everyone else's weekend was better. At least I was able to do all the work myself without having to call in outside help.

I did get a couple of interesting photos on my phone though.

Edit: Hey Rich, you posted as I was posting. Nice lake.

Thanks Don!
Hope things get better for you. Some days/weeks are like that.
I like the military trike, pretty smooth!
The second one is pretty flashy! Looks like they ride it to fires!

Rich said: I used to be able to shoot photos from that angle!

If I remember correctly, I crawled around on the ground to a nearby tree to help me get up from the ground. I learned that I can get up from the ground if I get on all fours and rise up from a downward dog position. But then my butt is sticking up in the air as I make my way up to a standing position. Not a cool look for someone who is trying to pull of the professional photographer look. I am thinking of carrying a short chunky stick with me to help me push up from the ground. One of our club's photographers carried a monopod with him and he used it as a walking stick AND a way to help him stand up from being on his knees to take a shot.

You have a nice lake to look at, Rich. Water is calming and cooling. Good for you.

Don, I am sorry that you missed out on the motorbike rally. bummer. That green three-wheel bike looks so comfortable and practical. That is something that I could see myself riding on the way to the grocery store.

My weekend trip with the photo club was a dud too. We thought we were attending a COUNTY fair but it turned out to be a VENDOR fair for outdoor sports and activities, like hunting, fishing, trapping, four-wheeling, etc. I brought home nothing good, and it was so hot. The club went on another shoot today to downtown Detroit, but I passed. So, I went out this morning to take photographs of spider webs, that is one of our special assignments for Thursday's club meeting. I only got one good shot so I may have to visit the local park tomorrow morning to get more.

Thanks, funny story Lorell, but not funny at the time! Yes, good idea to carry a monopod! Too bad on the photo shoot with the club. Weather is a big factor this year. We have a classic car show in town this weekend.

Fine photo of that classic Fairlane, Lorell.

Great lake photo, Rich - soothing and relaxing.

Impressive cycles, Don. Sorry your weekend plans were derailed by real-life events.

I'm right there with you Lorell. That's one reason why 99% of the time I have my camera with me on a monopod. Even with that, getting up is a slow and awkward process, often accompanied by grunts of pain.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

That Ford is one sharp car! And I absolutely love your angle on it....And that blue really pops! Well done, Lorell!
Rich, you and me both: I can't get down to take those angle shots either, and if I did, I can't get back up!! Love that pond shot...I'm glad they cleaned up the trees at the bottom....would make some pretty treacherous snags for boating if they left them there.
Don....you and me both: my son's car still in shop and he is using my vehicle and so I am house bound. Been too long. Wish they would hurry up and fix his car!! Hey, come fix my leaky pipes! Bathroom upstairs leaks at the base of the faucet... it's in a place hard to get to to fix it....gonna have to call a plumber I guess. Nice bikes....love that green one.....
Lorell, what you said: "I learned that I can get up from the ground if I get on all fours and rise up from a downward dog position." I do that, too, but it's so embarassing in public!!
Hi, Dave....guess a lot of us are in the same boat....age related mobility!! Sucks to be old!! Wish I was Benjamin Button.
