Happy Hump Day, folks.

Here's a poppy in front of some other blossoms (taken 6 days ago) whose name I've forgotten...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Are those snap dragons in back of your poppy?  Thanks for the reminder, my neighbor's poppies will be blooming in a few weeks.  A very colorful shot, Dave. Thank you for starting the daily.

The other day I was raking up old leaves from one of my flower beds.  In the pile of leaves, I spotted a little snail and put it in an egg carton along with some dirt, leaves, and water.  I checked on it this morning and saw that it had been crawling around inside the carton. I grabbed some leaves and brought them into the house.  I set up my camera on a tripod and took photos as he crawled around on the leaves.  I am hoping that I got at least a decent shot.  This month's club challenge is NATURE.

Speaking of the club, tomorrow evening, the club will be meeting at a fire station for a photo shoot.  It is really nice of them to allow us to visit their station and and take photos.  I think that quite a few of the club members will be attending.  I am looking forward to joining them in a photo shoot.  It has probably been a year since I have done so. It also feels good to get out with my camera.

I hope I never showed you this shot.  Last month's special assignment WAS blur.  I grabbed this one from my archives.

Sweet Dave, the famous California Poppy!

Here is the postcard view of the Palace which I would sell to the Gift Shop. Unfortunately my services were not needed after 2019. Change of management and ideas. They are letting the seasonal workers take photos. No views like this since then. The theme this year is the Wonders of the World. Large murals left to right is the Jesus statue in Rio de Janeiro, Sydney Opera House, Statue of Liberty. The small ones  left to right are the Eiffel Tower, Great Wall of China and the Colosseum of Rome The ones that are hard to see are the Taj Mahal, Grand Canyon and Great Pyramids of Giza.

Yes for snapdragon flowers. Nice colour contrast there Dave.
Lorell. That's an awesome capture of the heron taking off with the startled onlookers in back.

That's some palace shot there Rich.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.
