A California Fence Lizard I noticed while on a walk yesterday.

The blue throat patch is an adaption - maybe to intimidate male rivals, to attract females, or both.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

I finally got a picture of a wandering tattler in Hilo, today.  I don't think I'll get any Nene photos, though. I saw them fly by the hotel twice and tried to track where they went. However, I looked everywhere and didn't see them.

Here are a couple of the wandering tattler photos.

I got a couple of shots of the bronze-wing pigeon amongst my trees today. I'm speaking from your future. It is Tuesday afternoon here.

Like many of our pigeons, they virtually disappear in the shade until the light touches them.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.
