On my way this morning to drive my son's car to the body shop. Sunday he hit a truck tire retread that was in the road... dark road, dark tire. He has a high deductible on his insurance (which I will pay), so another bite out of the savings. Just hope they can get it repaired quickly as I am having to ferry him back and forth to work until they do. Like they say "Things Happen".

Sorry to hear that Don! Good that you are close-by to help him out. We have them quite often on the Interstate. Very dangerous.

Dark road dark object. Reminds me of the time we were driving to my niece's wedding via the snowy mountains road to the coast. I said to she who was driving. "The road is moving, no it's a wombat, STOP!" Thankfully we avoided the wombat but it must be so easy to kill wombats on the road because they are the same colour as the road.
