Good morning all. Chilly here this morning but clear skies.
On my Tail of the Dragon ride there were at least 3 different commercial photographers set up along the route. You can go on line and find the photos of yourself and purchase if desired. I did buy one digital down load from one company and a few from another. Also posting a photo of the actual TOTD route.

I've been busy all day with my long To Do list – got 5 of the 20 items done.
There is a golf course 2 blocks south of my house; this photo of the 3rd green in early morning was taken around 10 years ago but just now newly processed and presented...
I sure miss playing golf.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

I recall Lee Merton "Dewey" Bunnell"(of the band America) stood on the stage and asked us why did we think he was in our town.. None of us had any idea. "He told us, I'm a herpetologist and I like golf. So I came here to play a game of golf on your beautiful course and to see your bearded dragons.
Golf can be quite physically demanding, but IMO it comes down to mental strength. For anyone who has played much (I started playing at around age 10 - thanks, Dad - and continued for around 45 years until a bad back put an end to it), the body knows how to swing the clubs but too often the brain gets in the way.
Golf has inspired some spot-on quotes...
“Golf is a good walk spoiled.” is attributed to Mark Twain, but he was not the first to say or write it.
Hall of Fame golfer Gary Player once said “The harder I practice, the luckier I get.” There's a lesson in his words.
A golf course is a bad place to be when a tornado strikes. (My Dad and his best friend dropped their clubs and ran for their lives when a tornado devastated the small Ohio town of Xenia in 1974.)
Lightning is also quite dangerous on a golf course. When asked what to do if on a golf course in a lightening storm, Lee Trevino (another Hall of Famer) said take out a 1 iron and hold it high in the air because not even God can hit a 1 iron.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Nice image of the golf course, Dave. I have played very little golf, never was much good at it. A couple of friends and I used to get up early on a Sat morning, drive about an hour down to a college course, play 9 before the club house opened, pay after the first 9, then play the second. Interestingly, the college is in the little town where I spent my high school years. Sadly, one of those friends has passed on (and he was 12 years younger than me). And I don't see the second friend as we now live quite some distance away.
"Don, WoW! What a ride on the tail! Excellent photo of you! Kind of a unique way to make money!"
I think they probably do pretty well doing that Rich. Just sit by the road and shoot photos all day. Each charges differently too. I purchased 3 images from one and it was basically an instant digital download of the raw JPG file. The image above was a couple of dollars more but I had them add the text. Also the quality was much better, still a JPG but much much larger. No processing needed by me, whereas the other images I had to tweak a bit to make them look better.
