I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
The surprise party I went to on Saturday was a lot of fun.  And the play that my daughter and I saw yesterday was GREAT.  We weren't the only ones who felt that way.  As we walked out of the theatre, you could hear comments from all directions about how much people love the performance.

Well, back to my daily/weekly routines.  Got to get ready for swim aerobics. And maybe when I come home, I can start a little yard work.  I think the weather is going to cooperate today.

See you all later.
The little green specs of growth on this dried-up stem remind us that spring is a time for new hope and growth.

Thanks for starting a Daily for us. I'm glad you had a good weekend and that today's weather promises to be pleasant.

That's the kind of photo I like: technically excellent and it's strong appeal is made stronger because it tells a story.

I took it easy last week; walking far less than my weekly goal and giving my always aching a break b y skipping much of the heavy gardening I had hoped to do.

Speaking of back problems, didn't your son have back surgery, maybe last year? How did that go? I hope it was 100% successful.

Well, the abundant California Poppies are departing. At one time I had an estimated 800 to 1000 blossoms in my small yard, but now it's down to maybe 150.

Here's one shot of a now sparse group of them...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Yes, Dave, my son had back surgery. He has actually had two. There is nothing more that they can do for him. The next operation will be where they put a rod within a cage around the disk. He is only 35 and I worry so much about what is in his future.

I enjoyed your beautifully bright and colorful poppies. I think they are one of the most vibrant colored flowers.
Thanks for joining me, Dave.

Nice image to start the day with Lorell. I love taking these kinds of photos just as much as bright blossoms. Maybe more so.

I really like the orange color of these poppies, Dave. The dark background really sets them off.

I think flowers at this stage create their own mood. I think that is why I am attracted to this also.

I too am attracted to the mood of these flower photos from both Lorell and Dave.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.
